A strategic partnership to support South American cities in climate planning and implementation.

BAKU, AZERBAIJAN – At COP29 in Baku, ICLEI South America and ClimateView announced their intention to partner by signing a Letter of Intent at the Swedish Pavilion. Starting with a feasibility study, the partnership will focus on equipping cities with tools to plan, execute, and monitor impactful climate initiatives—empowering them to turn climate commitments into measurable action.

By leveraging the ClimateView platform, ICLEI South American members will gain the ability to strategically plan and measure their climate initiatives through specific and strategic KPIs based on IPCC mitigation options.

Earlier this year, ClimateView announced a strategic partnership with ICLEI USA, and with this new collaboration, the expansion of a powerful network of cities across the Americas is taking shape. These partnerships signify a transformative shift in how sub-national governments approach sustainability, and a new era of cross-border collaboration supported by next-generation tools for achieving climate goals.
